Dr. Archie Lamb, Ophthalmologist

Dr. Archie Lamb graduated in medicine at Glasgow University, Scotland and completed his ophthalmic training in Brisbane where he continues to practice.  He was formally a consultant at PA hospital, a senior clinical lecturer at the University of Queensland and an official for the College of Ophthalmologists.  He is a founder member of the Asia-Pacific society of ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery and is a non-executive director of the Australasian Academy of Facial Plastic surgery.

Dr. Angelo Tsirbas, Ophthalmologist

A highly skilled Ophthalmologist. Dr. Angelo Tsirbas is a member of The American Society of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery, The European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, The Australian and New Zealand Society of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Society, The Australasian Association of Facial Plastic Surgery, The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. He has received international recognition by his peers for his innovative surgical techniques.

Professor Greg Goodman, Dermatologist

Professor Goodman AM has been a practicing dermatologist for more than 20 years. His areas of specialty include skin cancersMohs micrographic surgery, lasers in dermatology, cosmetic dermatology and the treatment of acne and post -acne scarring. He has an academic teaching position as Adjunct Professor with Monash University and previously held the position of Chief of Surgery at the Skin Health Institute. He is a national trainer for numerous temporary dermal fillers and a member of several international editorial boards and advisory committees.

Mrs. Elena Currie, Registered Nurse, and Co-Founder of AMET

Aesthetic nurse, Elena Currie RN has accumulated over 13 years’ experience in aesthetic medicine. She has diversified her experience through roles such as Capital Sales Manager, Clinical Specialist and Business Development Manager with leading Aesthetic Companies Solta Medical and Galderma. Elena currently works within a busy holistic skin clinic and provides contractor clinical training, both privately and for Galderma.

Mrs. Bronwyn Granata, Registered Nurse and Co-Founder of AMET

Bronwyn is a registered division 1 nurse, with a wealth of experience in aesthetic medicine with 15 plus years’ experience in the industry.

Dr. Benjamin Burt, Ophthalmic Surgeon

LUKE FORSYTH – Lawyer specialising in AHPRA complaints

Luke Forsyth is a Principal in Hall Payne’s Sydney office. He practises in the firm’s industrial relations and employment law teams. Since 2014 Luke has been consistently recognised as one of Australia’s leading employment lawyers by his peers in the Doyle’s Guide.

With a PhD specialising in Body Dysmorphic Disorder and prior experience in an eating disorder treatment program, I am passionate about working with individuals to develop their confidence, as well as healthy and sustainable relationships with their bodies, food, exercise and ageing.

Dr. Archie Lamb, Ophthalmologist

He has received international recognition by his peers for his innovative surgical techniques. Dr. Tsirbas is sought after by patients from around the world for help in correcting some of the most challenging complicated cases. His work focuses on obtaining the finest and most natural results for blepharoplasty and brow-lift surgery. The demand for his expertise in functional, reconstruction, revision and cosmetic surgery pertaining to the eyes and orbitofacial region, has also found him consulting all across Australia.

Dr. Angelo Tsirbas graduated from Flinders University of Adelaide, South Australia, with a MBBS with Honors and was awarded the prestigious University Medal. He trained in General Surgery in Adelaide and then completed his ophthalmic training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne.
He was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Columbia University & the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He continued his research and training and completed another fellowship on Orbitofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UCLA in California.

Dr. Tsirbas was then appointed to the faculty of the Orbital and Oculofacial surgical department at the Jules Stein Eye Institute in Los Angeles. He specialised in complex orbital and oculoplastic reconstruction as well as advanced techniques in minimally invasive facial rejuvenation. The Aesthetic practice was based in Beverly Hills.

Dr. Angelo Tsirbas has written and published an extensive list of medical literature including over 50 research papers and book chapters. He also regularly presents talks on many of these subjects in medical conferences around the world. He is also a reviewer for the American Journal of Ophthalmology, Journal of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the British journal of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Angelo Tsirbas is involved in several current research projects. These entail both basic science and clinical applications of various emerging technologies. He was the first surgeon in the world to explore the feasibility of the Da vInci Surgical robot in eye surgery.

He has lectured widely both in Australia and overseas on the nature of skin ageing and its treatment and has designed software applications to assess this and optimise treatment suggestions.

Dr. Burt completed this additional training with a fellowships in Auckland New Zealand and The University of California, Los Angeles.

Dr. Burt is also one of, if not the only, Australian to be a full member of the prestigious British Oculoplastic Surgical Society known as BOPSS. His qualifications and expertise are recognised globally. In addition to his practice, he is a academic contributor to the field of oculoplastics. ADVANCED TRAINING IN USA

Dr. Somia completed a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship Accredited by American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, working with Dr. Foad Nahai and Dr. Rod Hester at Paces Plastic Surgery, Atlanta. He also completed an Eyelid Surgery (Oculoplastic) Fellowship under Dr. Sonny McCord and Dr. Mark Codner in Atlanta.

Dr. Somia was awarded a PhD for his 3 year research into Eyelid Reanimation using implantable micro electrodes and the study of Eyelid Movements. This helped Dr. Somia develop a passion for Eyelid Surgery .

HONOURS AND AWARDS

Dr. Somia has won numerous awards for his research both in Australia and in the US. Amongst them is the 2003 Marshall Prize in Surgical Training at Monash University, Melbourne. Dr. Somia’s research earned mention in the Highlights of the American College of Surgeons Annual Meeting, was nominated as a Finalist at the American Society of Biomechanics and won two Best Poster Awards at Research Louisville.

Dr. Cara MacDonald Dermatologist

Dr. Cara McDonald is a highly trained specialist dermatologist and cosmetic injector. She is the co-director and principal dermatologist at Complete Skin Specialists.

Medical training and achievements:
Originally from Tasmania, Cara completed her medical degree at the University of Tasmania, where she was awarded First Class Honours. Her specialist training in Dermatology was completed through St Vincent’s Hospital & The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne as well as in Oxford in the UK. She continues to hold a public hospital consultant position at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and attends an outreach clinic in Burnie Tasmania. She is a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.

Cara joined Dr. Belinda Welsh in at Complete Skin Specialists in 2010, together providing a first-class comprehensive specialist dermatology service to the region.

Specialist areas:
Cara’s special interests in her field include skin cancer prevention and treatment, acne scarring, laser, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Cara’s extensive knowledge and experience in cosmetic dermatology and anti-ageing treatments lets her combine her specialist knowledge of the skin and anatomy to offer natural looking cosmetic treatments.

She specialises in full face rejuvenation using cosmetic injectables and combines this with appropriate skin care and laser treatments. Cara’s knowledge, skills and caring nature ensures all patients are given the best possible care. Cara’s superior knowledge and skill in the injecting field has led to a specialist role teaching role across Australia/NZ with the Allergan Medical Institute ®.
